Random Facts About Me :)

Well, I'm bored on a Saturday night. And I do love to write so I figured why not do a good-ol'-fashioned random-facts list haha. Here are some bits and pieces of me!!!

1. Ok, well, I am a nerd at heart. I'm pretty sure those close to me already know that however lol.

2. I collect rocks. I started when I was about 10, then picked it back up about a year ago. I love finding (or buying) pretty rocks!

3. My life dream is to travel. I would love nothing more than to travel the world and spend time with different cultures. What I really want to travel for though is to spend time with different animals, maybe at wildlife rescue centers for example. And I want to experience different nature sceneries.

4. I have a hippy's heart. I'm a lover and a dreamer. I find myself caring more about animals and nature than people sometimes. I'm a free-sprit. ( I don't like drugs though! Except for beer, wine, and cigarettes lol.) I support gay marriage. And I WISH I could be a vegetarian (meat's too delicious though.)

5. I love animals (if I didn't mention that already!)

6. I have ZERO tolerance for people who treat others in a condescending matter. It amazes me how some people will point out others' flaws, yet they have their own oozing out of their pores. Ugly souls make people nasty. Yes everyone makes mistakes, but I learn from my own to this day, I don't take it out on other people. No one should take their problems out on others.

6. Now THIS is on another note haha, physically speaking. If I could, I would physically change a lot of things about me! I don't think there is anything wrong with modification, so long as it's still natural-looking and keeps the essence of your true self. I think the important thing to keep in mind though is to only do it for yourself, and no one else. I would personally make my nose a little bit smaller, boobs just a little bigger, and take a couple of those mole-freckle-spot things off my face. I'd get laser-hair-removal from the neck down haha! I'd take my birth mark off my butt cheek. And, yeah I think those are most of them haha!

7. I am a sucker for romance movies! (romance? romantic?)

8. I love the rain. I love thunderstorms. They are so beautiful! They make me smile.

9. I have extremely sensitive skin. I get hives when I sweat (I rarely sweat though) or when I'm in the shower or a hot tub too long. I'm allergic to cats (and yes I still have two of them.)

10. I like to keep to myself oftentimes. I sometimes find socializing exhausting haha.

11. I love vegetables. My favorite is cucumber with a little bit of lime (ok a lot, I know it's weird haha) and salt (or chilli powder.) I love tomatoes with salt. I love carrots, zucchini, green beans, corn, spinach, and the list goes on!

12. I am scared of the dark. I have to sleep with the lights on if I'm alone! I don't like dark houses not just because I'm scared though; darkness is just so depressing!

13. I am NOT a sweets fan, I'm on the sour-loving side. I half-water most of my drinks (like juices, Kool-Aid and shit like that.) I get really sick to my stomach if I have too many sweets (and "too many" consists of not that many.)

14. That also reminded me, I love to swear. Not necessarily when I write, but when I talk. I think it adds more life, or even passion, to what you're saying lol. But I AM mindful around those who I know are, or might be, offended :)

15. For the past couple of years or so, I have been having TONS of dreams about loosing my teeth. It pisses me off. But in my dreams I never am able to make it to the dentist to fix me up. There will be time periods when I will literally have losing-teeth dreams about every other night. Then other time periods when they will only come two or three times a month. It's so annoying though!

16. There was a time when I was about 14 when I had a lot of consecutive demon dreams too. It was horrible. My mom was so worried she wanted to take me to a priest hahaha. They were those dreams where you experience sleep paralysis. Everything feels so realistic, and it seems like you're half-awake, but you can't move at all. And then there would be horrifying demon shit added on to that. Now though, I rarely have them anymore (thank goodness!) But when I do, it's really weird because I bring myself to realize I'm dreaming, and when I know I'm dreaming I have this little waking-up-trick, that actually works! (Well most of the time ha.)

17. My FAVORITE kind of dreams though, are flying dreams. I usually fly like I am swimming in the air. Sometimes it can get scary though because I have a hard time controlling my speed. I did use a broom once in one of them though and that was pretty cool haha.

18. It drives me absolutely nuts when people use apostrophes incorrectly. I hate it when people use them just because a word has an S at the end, or just because a word is plural and they feel like sticking one before the S must be right.

19. I LOVE learning.

20. I'm a Taurus :)

21. Here's a personal one. The worst day of my life... That would have to be when I was about 11. My mom had been sick with depression for some time. I basically had to grow up a little faster than most kids. I would often do the housework. I took care of my little sister a lot. I fed us while my dad was at work. But there is a specific day I remember. I got off the school bus and walked home. Right before I opened the door I remember praying "Please God, let this be a good day for my mom, just give her this one day." But nothing had changed. She was in her usual spot, the couch, just laying there on her side. I will never forget that look on her face that day though. It was nothing unusual. But this was the day it stuck in my mind. She was laying there, just staring into space. It was like she was dead, but still alive. I hated that time period. I am thankful that things are different now though - happy. We moved to Utah maybe a couple of months after that. Once here, she slowly came back to us. I love her so much - and my dad and sister too of course. I cannot comprehend how I will ever be ok after they're gone. But I know it's a fact of nature.

Welcoming 20Fourteen!!

Wow what a blast I had for New Year's! It was more so an extended holiday for me, so basically a vacation :) We had a lot of family over for a week at my parents' house, some from Tucson, Arizona, and others from Mexico, including my grandmother who I hadn't seen for about a couple of years.

Willie and I went to my parents' on the 31th and spent the night there. We celebrated the night by having a few drinks, eating some good food, and a playing a few games. We even danced and also lit fireworks.

The next day, Willie mentioned he was getting ready to go home ( I was going to stay for a couple more days to spend time with the family since I rarely get to see them.) Shortly after that however, something weird started to happen. My eye became itchy, which wasn't uncommon. I rubbed it a little, but then it still kept itching. Suddenly it started to really burn. I looked in the mirror and it was extremely red. I had never seen so many little veins on an eyeball before, it was kind of creepy! So then I stopped rubbing it, and put some eye drops in. A few minutes later though, the whites of my eyes started to swell, which is something I had never seen before. Then, they started becoming blisters! It was the nastiest and scariest thing, and then I started freaking out!

No one had any idea what was wrong with my eye. We were worried it could be something serious, so we decided I should go to the doctor's. So, Willie didn't get to go home quite then! Willie, my mom, my sister, and myself all drove to Panguitch were the nearest clinic and hospital were, about half an hour away. When we got there though, we were notified no clinics were open that day. Well that meant I had to go to the E.R. which was just on the other side of the hospital. And it was something I definitely did not want to do! Not only did I think it was unnecessary, but I knew the bill would be high since I don't have health insurance.

But, my mom insisted I get my eye checked out, then I realized maybe it could be something really bad. So we went in, and it turns out it was a really bad allergy to something. I still don't know exactly what it was. But two things I know for sure: I hope I don't come in contact with whatever it was again, and I'm glad it was just something we can laugh about now! And that was my New Year's Day trip to the E.R. haha!

I then stayed there until Friday night. It was crowded, but it was super fun and I loved it. I did miss my honey though. When I got back home I got back to a surprise. He cleaned out the laundry room, even the horrible messy cabinets. We then went out on a date the next day, and rented a few movies and bought some wine, and well, the rest was history haha! We did manage to get our New Year's kiss on camera though, amongst all the craziness ;)

Christmas 2013

Christmas this year was great. We were supposed to spend Christmas Eve with my family, then Christmas morning with Willie's. We stayed up way too late at my family's house though, so getting up early that morning to make the almost-an-hour-drive back to Monroe was pretty difficult! So we just went later in the day on the 25th to Willie's grandparents'.

Christmas time is always a super busy time, as I'm sure for everyone. But man I sure was one busy bee! It felt like I could never catch up on the things I needed to get done! Even after the holidays there is quite a bit to do. (That's why I'm a little late with the blog haha.)

These past three years we've cut down our own tree for Christmas. The first Christmas tree Willie and I got together was the first real tree I've had for a Christmas. My family and I always used an artificial one. Willie loved the tradition of going up the mountain and cutting one down after Thanksgiving though. He loves the smell it gives inside of the home, which I totally love as well. However there are also downfalls with a natural one, ones he usually isn't a part of.

When he brings it home, I have to trim it up to make it as even as possible. Then I have to somehow put branches I've cut off on spots that are bare. I string branches that hang too low to higher branches to raise them, and vice versa. And even after all that work there is still only so much you can do to make it look as even as possible. And even though we have plenty of trees where we live, I'm still not too fond of cutting them down. So we've agreed to purchase an artificial one for next year. Then we'll alternate on it and a real one every year, that way we both compromise a little and just meet in the middle.

For Willie's presents I bought him a sleeveless Hollister tank, and an inflatable double person kayak. The kayak seems pretty sweet, but we won't know for sure until we actually blow it up and use it. I made sure it had cup holders however, so I'm pretty excited to use it at the lake during the summertime. He got a pair of shoes from my parents, and an awesome 270 Remington rifle from his grandparents.

We both feel strongly about boycotting factory farmed meats, not only because it's disgusting, but because it's cruel and inhumane. So now that he has a rifle we will be able to hunt our own food. A lot of people say "Well you're still killing animals so it's kind of the same.." It's not the same at all however. Animals that are hunted live their lives normally and naturally, and die quickly and humanely, the opposite of what happens with your meats you buy at places like Walmart.

Willie's presents for me were a cute sparkly Victoria's Secret's Pink sweater, and a pair of Rock Revival pants (which I had been wanting for a long time!) My parents bought me a nice hair straightener because my old one was starting to not do too well. Then Willie's grandparents gave me a few things, but their present I loved the most was a set of acrylic paints, since they knew I really have been wanting to start painting again.

Another really cool present we got to be a part of is Paige's official adoption! She was finally able to move to Monroe with Rosie and Shawn. So that's also something we were very happy about. It's not the funnest time to move to Monroe, (or any place I suppose,) since there's not a lot to do in the wintertime here. But I know this coming summer we are going to have a blast with her. One of those things being a trip to California so she can meet her biological mom's side of the family.

Aside from all the different presents we got from family and friends, the coolest thing I think was getting to see lots of family reuniting again. It's times like these when I remember how much holidays like Christmas aren't really about material things, but about spending time with family. I still wish I was rich though so I could give everyone I loved really nice things! One day we will be able to.
